New Jersey school districts have called for delayed openings on Monday after a winter storm hit the state Sunday with widespread snowfall totals of 5 to 8 inches.
Thousands of homes and businesses remained without power Sunday night from the gusty winds that followed the storm.
Dangerously low temperatures were expected on Sunday night into Monday with the potential for black ice on roads through Monday morning.
