$2 million lottery prize won on scratch-off sold in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Tennessee Lottery said there was a big winner last week in East Tennessee.
A $2 million Mega Millionaire Jumbo Bucks ticket was purchased at Weigel’s on Middlebrook Pike, according to lottery officials.
Just in the last week, thousands of Tennesseans won a total of $21.8 million.
This comes as excitement builds for Monday’s Powerball jackpot drawing, which stands at $1.1 billion.

The $1.1 billion jackpot is the sixth largest in Powerball Lottery history with a cash value of $503.4 million. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
Monday’s Powerball drawing will be the 43rd in the current jackpot run, setting a game record for most consecutive drawings in a single jackpot cycle. The Powerball jackpot was last won on Sept. 6 by two tickets in Missouri and Texas that split a $1.787 billion prize.
