WEST CHICAGO, Ill. (WLS) — West Chicago police and fire crews are responding to an apparent plane crash at the DuPage Airport Wednesday afternoon.
Police did not immediately provide any additional information about what led up to the crash or if anyone was injured.

The airport is located at 2700 International Drive in West Chicago.

Chopper 7 was over the scene about 2:30 p.m., and what appeared to be debris from a small plane was visible in the airport’s runway area.
There was also a large emergency response.
Airport officials said the facility is closed after an incident.
