Small plane crashes after takeoff at DuPage Airport; 2 people were on board

West Chicago police and the Federal Aviation Administration were responding to a small plane crash Wednesday afternoon at DuPage Airport.
The FAA said a single-engine Piper PA-30 plane crashed shortly after taking off from DuPage Airport around 1:50 p.m.
Two people were on board, but the FAA did not provide any information on their condition.
West Chicago police said they were assisting the West Chicago Fire Protection District and DuPage Airport Authority in responding to the crash.
The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board were investigating the cause of the crash.
