Kemi Badenoch challenges Keir Starmer on government’s record in final PMQs of the year

Hospital conditions are ‘number one priority’ for government – Starmerpublished at 12:29 GMT 17 December

Davey says NHS patients have been facing a “terrible winter crisis” – even before the doctor’s strikes.

He says patients have lost their dignity, some even dying and “being left undiscovered for hours” on hospital trolleys.

Will Starmer, Davey asks, make this his “number one priority” through a mass vaccination programme and social care funding?

The state of hospitals is Labour’s number one priority, says Starmer, adding that some patients are enduring are “unacceptable” conditions.

Starmer says over 17 million people were vaccinated this year. This is 350,000 more compared to this time last year.

However, the PM says he wants to drive up vaccinations because they make “such a difference”.
