Julian Love Named 2025 Steve Largent Award Winner

Julian Love has been having quite the run over the past month. First, he made his return from injured reserve after missing nine games this season. Then, on the same day, was surprised as he was named the Seahawks Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee. And now, Love can add another accolade to that list; Steve Largent Award Winner.

Prior to Thursday’s game, Love was presented with the Steve Largent Award by Seahawks Legend Steve Largent himself. The award is voted upon by teammates and is given to the player or coach who exemplifies the spirit, dedication and integrity of the Seahawks.

On winning the award, Love said, “It’s pretty cool. Steve Largent’s obviously the legend. Just to be seen in that light with my teammates, it’s pretty special.”

Love is the ninth player to win the Steve Largent Award and be named the Seahawks Man of the Year nominee along with Eugene Robinson 1993, Brian Blades 1994, Mack Strong 2004, Bobby Engram 2007, Roy Lewis 2010, Richard Sherman 2015, Tyler Lockett 2021 & 2022 and Bobby Wagner 2023.

“I feel like all the off the field stuff, guys just trust me with a lot of things. They trust me to just be there for them pretty much. I think that’s kind of what goes into all these awards. I’m here for my community. That’s [why I] got the Walter Payton Award. And this is just, I think, I’m doing my job the right way.”
