Ric Flair Mentioned Bleeding Virgins In Promo In Front Of WWE Sponsors

Ric Flair showed some WWE sponsors why he’s The Dirtiest Player in the Game.

Speaking to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe on her What’s Your Story podcast, former WWE Chairwoman Stephanie McMahon recalled the time when Ric Flair cut a controversial promo, mentioning bleeding virgins in front of WWE sponsors.

“There was this one promo Ric cut, and at the time, my dad was very frustrated with Ric because he was just doing what he wanted to do. But the very first thing he talks about is somehow bleeding virgins, and we are like, ‘Oh my God!’ And it’s live TV, and there’s nothing you could do, and he’s jumping on down that rabbit hole.”

Ric Flair cut that promo on the October 4, 2004, episode of WWE RAW at Madison Square Garden, with several corporate sponsors present. He addressed Randy Orton in the promo, building up to their steel cage match at Taboo Tuesday.

“You look at me and say, ‘Legend.’ I look at you and say, ‘Virgin.’ You are a virgin at killing legends, and do you know how many virgins I have made holler, scream, and bleed all night long?” Ric Flair said.

Ric Flair Says WWE Should Book Randy Orton Better

Ric Flair and Randy Orton have been friends and foes on WWE television over the years, and The Nature Boy recently commended Orton as the “best male worker in the company,” speaking on the Double Coverage podcast. He also expressed that WWE should book Orton better.

“Randy Orton, I mean, he’s third generation,” Ric Flair said. Randy is the best male worker in the company right now. They don’t utilize him the way I would if I was booker, but I’m not. So, he can still work his ass off. But, he’s making a lot of money. He’s doing good. He’s happy. And that’s all that matters.” [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]
