Jake Paul will square off against Anthony Joshua on Friday, but his glamorous partner Jutta Leerdam could be set to steal just as many headlines as the boxer himself. The social media sensation, 28, and Dutch speed skating champion Leerdam, 26, have been together since early 2023.
Their union followed Paul’s split from model Julia Rose the previous December. The romance kicked off after they were “spotted together” at a Miami fashion show, and their relationship has gone from strength to strength, culminating in an engagement earlier this year.
When making their relationship Instagram official, Leerdam shared a series of photos with the simple caption: “That’s it.” The post racked up over 150,000 likes within two hours, with Paul commenting in Dutch: “Ice queen.”
Paul followed up with his own snaps showing the couple hand-in-hand, captioning it: “I’m dutch now”. Leerdam, at just 26, has established herself as one of Europe’s premier speed skaters since breaking through at the 2017 World Junior Championships.
Her trophy cabinet boasts two golds from the World Sprint Championships, four European Championship titles, and most impressively, Olympic silver from Beijing 2022. She’s now targeting gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

In Beijing, Leerdam was the sole competitor to crack the 1:14 barrier, finishing at 1:13:72 to secure her sixth consecutive crown. She also triumphed at the 2025 ISU European Speed Skating Championships.
Yet it’s her romance with Paul that’s catapulted her into the celebrity spotlight. Leerdam was ringside when Paul took on 59-year-old boxing legend Mike Tyson last November, watching her partner claim victory in the highly-anticipated showdown.

The fight proved a game-changer for Leerdam, whose social media following skyrocketed overnight. Marketing expert Max Kohnstamm told Dutch publication De Telegraaf that Leerdam has been carefully crafting her personal brand, with those efforts now bearing fruit.
“For years, Leerdam has been dealing with the sport [speed skating] very differently than others do,” Kohnstamm said. “She has been working on the brand ‘Jutta Leerdam’ all this time. As a result, she soon became not just a good skater, but also her own brand. Because that is, after all, the definition of an influencer.”
Social media specialist Joey Scheufler believes Leerdam’s online strategy has given her unprecedented freedom, explaining: “Jutta can now make completely different choices in sports, for example, she no longer has to be in a team to still be very visible.”

In a bold career move, Leerdam has chosen not to renew her contract with speed skating outfit Team Jumbo as she prepares for the Winter Olympics. The decision was reportedly made to strengthen her individual brand beyond team affiliations, with the Dutch star now boasting a staggering 4.8 million Instagram followers.
Scheufler added: “A Team Jumbo like that was not interesting at all for her online reach. And certainly not in America. She now works exclusively with Celsius Energy Drink, which she earns a lot of money from. Jutta has handled it very cleverly, because she transcends skating.”
Social media and influencer specialist Kirsten Jassies noted: “Don’t forget her beautiful appearance. She knows very well how to use social media, but in combination with bikini photos and other beautiful content, that of course ensures a lot of reach.”
