Light rail service to halt between Capitol Hill and Stadium stations overnight

SEATTLE — Link light rail service will be temporarily suspended between Capitol Hill and Stadium stations from 11 p.m. Saturday, until 10 a.m. Sunday, while Sound Transit works to install advanced signaling in the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel.
Overnight, buses will replace 1 Line trains between these stations, and passengers should anticipate approximately 30 minutes of additional travel time, Sound Transit said.
Despite the suspension, 1 Line trains will maintain regular service hours, operating every 15 minutes between Lynnwood and Capitol Hill and every 10-15 minutes between Stadium and Federal Way, according to Sound Transit.
Sound Transit shuttle buses will run every 10-15 minutes between Capitol Hill and Stadium, stopping at all intermediate stations.
These buses will align with Link’s operating hours, running from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday and from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sound Transit said.
Sound Transit is advising passengers to plan accordingly.
