PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A woman was found dead following a reported stabbing in Portland’s Hazelwood neighborhood early Saturday morning.
Portland Police officers responded to calls about a disturbance at an apartment on the 12600 block of Southeast Stark Street at 6:13 a.m.
Once on the scene, officers found the woman had been stabbed and was dead.
A man was detained, and no other suspects are being sought, police said.
The Portland Police Homicide Unit is investigating, and one lane of Southeast Stark Street is closed between Southeast 125th and 126th avenues.
