DK Metcalf fan punch video has alternative angle from Steelers

As the world saw on Sunday, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf appeared to throw a punch at a Detroit Lions fan, a moment caught on CBS cameras and shared immediately. With questions about what exactly happened and if Metcalf will face NFL suspension due to the incident, there’s also a new video angle for that moment.

The video doesn’t tell us what Metcalf or the fan said — although the Detroit Free Press found the fan named Ryan Kennedy and spoke to him — but it shows the receiver going up to the fan, grabbing him by the blue wig, pulling him down and then throwing the punch.

We’ll see what the league has to say about this, perhaps on Monday.

What did the Lions fan reportedly say to DK Metcalf?

From the Detroit Free Press post:

“What, my full name isn’t is DeKaylin Zecharius Metcalf,” Kennedy said. “He doesn’t like his government name. I called him that and then he grabbed me and ripped my shirt. I’m a little shocked. Like everyone’s talking to me. I’m a little rattled, but I just want the Lions to win, baby.”
