Gisele Bündchen quietly married Joaquim Valente earlier this month, according to People. The supermodel and her jujitsu instructor, who welcomed a baby boy together back in February, reportedly got hitched in Seaside, Florida, on December 3.
“Page Six” broke the story, reporting that the couple was wed in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Unfortunately, because it was such a private affair, we do not know whether or not Bündchen’s pal Ivanka Trump made the cut. One source told the outlet that Valente was “thrilled they finally tied the knot after having a kid together.”
Bündchen and Valente have been dating since 2023, but they began their student-teacher relationship in 2021. Bündchen and Tom Brady got divorced in October 2022; that November, Valente was photographed accompanying Bündchen and her children on a trip to Costa Rica. While there was speculation about the timeline of her romantic relationship with Valente, she has outright denied that there was any infidelity. “That is a lie,” she told the New York Times in March of last year.
Speaking of Brady, he is doing what he does best when it comes to his ex-wife’s milestones: posting vaguely on his Instagram Story. When Bündchen gave birth earlier this year, the former NFL star reposted an inspirational quote from a teenage Christian influencer about “the secret to being loved.” This time around, according to TMZ, Brady posted a selfie the day after the news of Bündchen’s wedding broke. In the photo, Brady is smiling and wearing a hoodie that says “Forever Young.” That would be fine and maybe even normal, but Brady added the Logic song “1-800-273-8255” to the post. The song’s title comes from the old suicide-prevention hotline, and its chorus features the rapper crooning, “I don’t wanna be alive, I don’t wanna be alive / I just wanna die today.” Brady captioned his post with “Yuppppppp” and the “100” emoji.
Maybe he just likes the song, or maybe his ex-wife totally and completely moving on was weighing extra hard on him. Either way, that’s not really any of Bündchen’s business. She and Valente are probably too busy cooing over their baby in newlywed bliss to even notice. Congratulations to the happy couple!
