SECANE, Pa. (WPVI) — A woman is accused of stabbing her daughter to death inside their Delaware County, Pennsylvania home on Tuesday.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. on the 200 block of South Bishop Avenue in the Secane section of Upper Darby Township.
Investigators say the victim’s father was working an overnight shift. He came home, discovered the crime scene, and called 911.
However, police say his 23-year-old daughter was already dead by that point.
Investigators took the mother to the hospital, where she is being evaluated.
Police say the suspect hurt the family dog as well. The dog is now at the vet with stab wounds.
The mother will be facing charges, including homicide. The motive for the killing was not immediately known.
The names of those involved have not been released.
Authorities say they will have domestic violence resources available for the community.
