Beloved YouTube star who explored America’s hidden gems has died suddenly at 51

The social media star known as Adam the Woo was found dead in his Celebration, Fla., home on Dec. 22, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, TMZ reported.
Adam the Woo, whose real name was David Adam Williams, was 51. He was known for traveling the United States and documenting his adventures on a daily video blog called The Daily Woo. He had more than a million followers across various social platforms, including 749,000 subscribers on YouTube.
His father, Jim Williams, confirmed the death on his Facebook page. “Our beloved Adam, our son was found dead in his home this afternoon. Keep us in your prayers please.”
Adam the Woo documented outdoor adventures, trips to roadside tourist attractions, haunted houses, abandoned towns and to Disney World and Disneyland theme parks, visiting all 50 states. He traveled to Missouri to document Walt Disney’s early life.
Adam the Woo often traveled through Alabama on his adventures. He once documented the setting of the horror movie “Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood,” which featured scenes filmed at Byrnes Lake near Bay Minette and Stockton in Baldwin County standing in for the fictional “Camp Crystal Lake.” He explored the swamps, woods, a dirt road entrance, the dock area, and remnants of houses where scenes were shot.
He also once vlogged from a Captain D’s in Tuscaloosa as part of his portrait of Americana.
Williams was born Aug. 10, 1974, in Tupelo, Mississippi, and launched his daily vlog “The Daily Woo” in 2012.
He is survived by parents Jim and June and sister, Faith.
His death remains under investigation.
