ILB Justin Strnad not assigned game status, 5 Broncos ruled out for ‘Thursday Night Football’ vs. Chiefs

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Inside linebacker Justin Strnad appears poised to return to game action after missing Denver’s Week 16 game.
Strnad (foot) was estimated as a full participant for the third consecutive day and was not assigned a game status. The absence of a game status indicates a player is expected to be available to play.
The Broncos held a walkthrough Wednesday, which means the team’s practice statuses are estimations of players’ participation levels if the Broncos held a full practice.
While Strnad was not assigned a game status, linebacker Dre Greenlaw (hamstring) was ruled out. Tight end Nate Adkins (knee), wide receiver Pat Bryant (concussion), center Luke Wattenberg (shoulder) and inside linebacker Karene Reid (hamstring) were also ruled out.
Greenlaw, Adkins, Bryant and Wattenberg were estimated as nonparticipants this week, while Reid was estimated as a full participant all three days. Reid was previously designated for return ahead of Week 16, but he has not yet been activated to the 53-man roster.
Tight end Adam Trautman was added to the injury report with an illness, as he was estimated as a nonparticipant on Wednesday. Trautman was not assigned a game status.
Cornerback Riley Moss (ankle) and guard Ben Powers (biceps) were also not assigned game statuses after they were estimated as full participants all three days.
The Broncos face the Chiefs on “Thursday Night Football” on Christmas Day at 6:15 p.m. MT on Prime Video.
