‘Spends A Lot of Time Out of the House’ (Exclusive)

There’s a giant hole in Jon Hamm’s life that he’s “never been able to fill” after his parents passed away, a source tells the National Enquirer.
His mother, Deborah, died from colon cancer when the 54-year-old actor was just 10 years old, and his father Daniel followed just 10 years later.
n“Jon has conquered his issues with alcohol [but] he has to deal with a void of self-esteem he hasn’t fully worked out,” the source says of the former Mad Men star, who completed a 30-day rehab stint in 2015 and has publicly discussed his struggles with grief and depression.

Though Hamm has won an Emmy for his portrayal of advertising agent Don Draper and found love with wife Anna Osceola, “all the acclaim in the world can’t really fix that,” the source continues, “and he knows it.”
It’s becoming more and more apparent to his small, close-knit circles of friends, too. The Enquirer has learned that Hamm’s pals are worried he’s one step away from an epic midlife crisis.

“At work, Jon seems bored, distracted and a million miles away from the razor’s edge pathos he brought to Mad Men,” shares the source. “[No one knows] if Jon can ever get that edge back, but he definitely wants to, and it seems like it’s the only thing keeping him going.”
At home, Osceola, 37, is a “positive influence” on Hamm, adds the source. However, “he spends a lot of time out of the house,” the source notes. “Jon’s friends would hate to see everything he has built with Anna slip through his fingers just because there’s this cloud of malaise hanging over him right now.”
