Lamar Jackson Doubtful to Play Against Packers

Lamar Jackson is doubtful to play against the Green Bay Packers Saturday night, but don’t rule out a Christmas miracle.
Jackson hasn’t practiced all week, but Head Coach John Harbaugh said he didn’t need to practice to play if his back contusion allows. Jackson has not been ruled out.
“He’s practiced and played a lot of football; he’s won a lot of games for us,” Harbaugh said. “If he can go, he will go. You can bet on that.”
Harbaugh said Jackson’s MRI revealed a deep tissue contusion, which is very painful, and that he’s been working all week loosen it up.
“You can’t really say when it’s going to be right,” Harbaugh said. “He has to be able to play. He has to be able to be an athlete and be able to move.”
If Jackson indeed cannot play by Saturday night, Tyler Huntley will get his second start of the season. He helped the Ravens beat the Chicago Bears in Week 8, which stands as arguably Baltimore’s best win.
Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie (foot) and left guard Andrew Vorhees (foot) are both slated to play after being full practice participants on Thursday. Neither has an injury designation heading into the game.
Linebacker Jay Higgins IV (knee) is questionable to play after being designated to return from injured reserve. Defensive tackle Taven Bryan was also designated for return from injured reserve on Friday but has been ruled out.
Packers quarterbacks Jordan Love (left shoulder/concussion) and Malik Willis (right shoulder/illness) are both questionable after being limited on Thursday.
Offensive tackle Zach Tom (back/knee), wide receiver Christian Watson (shoulder/illness), safety Evan Williams (knee), cornerback Bo Melton (illness), and guard Sean Rhyan (knee/illness) are all also questionable.
Linebacker Kristian Welch (ankle) and guard John Williams (back) have both been ruled out.
