Man grazed by bullet in eastside Tacoma shooting on Christmas

Tacoma police are investigating a shooting in the city’s east side that left a man with a minor injury on Christmas.

The shooting was reported just before 4:30 p.m. in the 5600 block of East McKinley Avenue, according to Tacoma Police Department, Public Information Officer Shelbie Boyd.

The man suffered a non-life-threatening grazing gunshot wound, Boyd said.

No information was immediately available about the circumstances that led to the shooting.

Police officers contacted several people in the area. Authorities have not confirmed whether any of those individuals may be connected to the shooting, Boyd said.

No additional details were released as the investigation continued.
