They’re accused of bringing the copper to Foss Recycling, where police said they exchanged it for cash.

Four people from Wake County face charges connected to this.

Quavon Gilmore was arrested on Wednesday. Elijah Walker, Michael Moore and Willie Jacobs also face charges.

In total, warrants showed that over 1,000 pounds of copper were stolen from their employer, 4 Seasons Demolition. The copper was sold at Foss Recycling in Raleigh for more than $1,200.

Warrants showed that copper was stolen on Aug. 29 and again on Sept. 2.

WRAL has reported on the soaring price of copper, which makes it a target for thieves.

Court records showed that all suspects have been granted bond, with at least two set to appear in court in the coming weeks.
