Snow emergency declared in several Pennsylvania communities ahead of storm

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Several communities in Pennsylvania have issued Snow Emergencies ahead of the winter storm Friday evening.

According to AccuWeather, light snow will develop between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., becoming steady throughout the evening. As warm air lifts over colder air at the surface, some areas will see a transition from snow to sleet.

FALLS TOWNSHIP
Falls Township has declared a Snow Emergency for Friday, December 26th, 6:00 PM and will expire on Saturday, December 27th, 12:00 PM.

LANSDALE
The Borough has issued a Snow Alert effective 12pm Friday, December 26. The emergency will be in effect until further notice.

NEWTOWN TWP.
Newtown Township is issuing a snow emergency effective 05:00 PM on Friday, December 26, 2025 to 09:00 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

PLYMOUTH TWP.
Plymouth Township has declared a snow emergency effective 4pm on December 26, 2025, until 8am on December 27, 2025.

SPRING CITY
A snow emergency has been issued for the Borough of Spring City, effective Friday, December 26th, 2025, at 12:00 PM and will remain in effect until Saturday, December 27th, 2025, 5:00 AM.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP
A snow emergency is in effect in Warminster Township until further notice.

WARWICK TWP.
Warwick Township is declaring a snow emergency, effective at 5pm. It will remain in effect until further notice.
