‘We’re gonna miss you all’: Longstanding Lehigh Valley pub set to close on New Year’s Eve | Eat, Sip, Shop

EASTON, Pa. – A popular spot for beers and banter among friends will soon have its last call in Northampton County.

Mother’s Bar & Grille is set to close next week at 3 Lehns Court in downtown Easton, according to a post on the business’ Facebook page.

“Saying goodbye is hard to do,” the announcement reads.

“We have difficult news to share as we approach the end of the year. We will be closing our doors for the last time at midnight on New Years Eve. We want to thank all of our staff and our patrons who have been with us for the past 15+ years.”

Mother’s has been in operation for more than five decades in downtown Easton.

Earlier this year, the pub’s current owners, Joseph and Michael Simonetta, partnered with their brother, Philip Simonetta, to purchase and implement updates at the neighboring Pearly Baker’s Alehouse.

“The memories and friendships we made over the years will last forever,” the Mother’s announcement continues. “We’re gonna miss you all.”

A couple of hours after its posting, the closing announcement had garnered more than 150 reactions and over 50 comments.

“Wow it was my favorite place to hang back in the day,” one person wrote.

“Some of the best times I can’t remember, but the ones I do are amazing,” another person stated.
