Princesses Beatrice & Eugenie Attend Christmas at Sandringham

After much public debate over Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie‘s presence for the royal family’s Christmas at Sandringham, fans finally have their answer. The sisters were a united front with King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

As their father, the former Prince Andrew’s Jeffrey Epstein mess continues to unfold, Beatrice and Eugenie “defied expectations” by standing with the rest of the royal family, per People. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson were notably (and understandably) excluded from the event.

The media outlet noted that the siblings’ decision to be at the royal gathering instead of spending one last Christmas at their father’s beloved Royal Lodge “marked a notable shift — and a visible show of alignment with the wider royal family.” Eugenie attended with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, while Beatrice was there with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, but all of their children stayed out of the limelight.

The Mail on Sunday had predicted in mid-December that Eugenie wasn’t going to even be in the U.K., while Beatrice was torn over where to spend the holidays.

“Eugenie was tempted to stay in Portugal with her family and husband, Jack Brooksbank. She is so settled there, far from all the drama,” a source told the U.K. outlet. Beatrice was reportedly debating between Sandringham, Royal Lodge, or a trip to her Cotswolds home with Ferguson.

“Unless she makes a decision to pick one side and one side only, she will spend a lot of time in the car,” the palace insider added. “Overall, it falls to the princesses to soothe family divisions. They are struggling with Christmas.”

In the end, Beatrice and Eugenie sided with King Charles, and that might have been the safest place to be. It’s a way for the royal family to show support for Andrew’s daughters, who had nothing to do with his scandal. A royal source told GB News that “His Majesty is very fond of [Beatrice and Eugenie.”

Andrew and Ferguson have been stripped of their titles, but Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are very much welcome at the palace.
