E-bikes purchased as Christmas gifts for twin boys stolen in South Pasadena

SOUTH PASADENA, Calif. — A mother in South Pasadena is hoping someone can help track down the person who stole two e-bikes she purchased as Christmas gifts for her twin boys.
The mother, who did not want to be identified, said the incident happened on Christmas Day. She said the suspect jumped over two gates and got into her gated complex and took the bikes.
Video shared with Eyewitness News shows a man with a hat walking away with the bike.
The mother said the two bikes are worth a combined $12,000.
“He literally stole Christmas from my twins,” she said. “These were two electrical bikes that they treasured, that they received as gifts, and they had more parts coming for them … This is something that they really treasured and loved. The Grinch can be anywhere, apparently.”
The mother believes they were followed home before the theft.
She has since filed a police report and is waiting on action from officers.
