Man who stole mandolins from Teaneck, New Jersey store returns them with note saying ‘sorry I been drunk. Merry Christmas’

TEANECK, New Jersey (WABC) — There is an unexpected new development in the case of two musical instruments stolen from a store in New Jersey.

The man who took the instruments returned them with a note. It said, ‘Sorry, I been drunk. Merry Christmas’ and ‘You are good man.’

Both instruments are mandolins.

The man took them from a store in Teaneck on Monday. Security camera video showed him putting the instruments inside his jacket before slipping out of the store.
