911 call audio, police body camera footage show aftermath of Cinnabon mall incident

ASHWAUBENON (WLUK) — TMZ has acquired new video that shows what happened in the moments after a racial incident at the Cinnabon stand at Bay Park Square Mall earlier this month.
On Monday, the site posted police body camera footage provided by Ashwaubenon Public Safety, in addition to audio of the initial 911 call with a Brown County dispatcher. The body camera videos depict an officer’s conversations with both the Cinnabon worker and the Somali husband and wife involved in the incident.
“I bet you know why I’m here,” the officer can be heard saying as he approaches the Cinnabon stand. The employee, a white woman who has only been identified as “Crystal”, is working behind the counter.
“They treated me like s*** first. They came here and harassed me. I have PTSD. They knew exactly that I was ill. It’s not the first time, it’s not the second time, so don’t try to come at me when they threatened me,” Crystal told the officer.
Throughout the video, which is approximately 3.5 minutes in length, the officer repeatedly asks for Crystal’s side of the story. She provides little information, even as the officer tells her she needs to cooperate. Eventually, the officer threatens to arrest her for disorderly conduct. Crystal then asks for a lawyer.
Another video, which runs about four minutes, details the officer’s interview with the Somali couple, who described what took place from their point of view. The body camera video shows the officer reviewing the footage the couple recorded of the incident.
Additionally, the 911 audio of the Somali couple reporting the incident to police was also posted by TMZ. The call is about two minutes long.
It was back on Dec. 6 when the video taken by the Somali couple was posted on social media. The footage quickly went viral online, garnering tens of millions of views globally across X, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.
“I am racist and you are a n*****. I am racist and I’ll say that to the whole entire world,” Crystal says in the video. She can be heard using the N-word multiple times, making other derogatory remarks and giving the Somali couple two middle fingers.
The altercation allegedly ensued after Crystal made comments about the Somali woman’s hijab. The couple called Crystal an idiot, followed by an expletive, and told her she was ruining her life and would be fired.
Cinnabon issued a statement saying Crystal was “immediately terminated.” After her firing, an online fundraiser for Crystal was launched. It says the money collected will help Crystal land on her feet, adding, “No White person should lose their job for refusing to be harassed by Somalians.” As of Monday, the campaign has raised over $157,000.
A GoFundMe for the Somali couple has amassed just under $19,000. According to the fundraiser’s page, the donations will be used for legal fees. It’s unclear what legal action is potentially being taken, but the organizer calls it a fight against racism.
