Doc Rivers moves to No. 6 all-time in wins

Doc Rivers moved into sixth place on the NBA’s all-time wins list on Monday night.

It’s another big win for Milwaukee coach Doc Rivers, and another step forward into the history books. Rivers moved past George Karl (1,175 wins) into sixth place on the all-time wins list Monday night by coaching the Bucks to a 123-113 victory over Charlotte.

Rivers now has 1,176 wins, and he’s the only active head coach in the top 10.

Rivers has a .585 winning percentage (1,176-835) and coached the Boston Celtics to the 2008 NBA championship. He has 416 wins with Boston, 356 with the LA Clippers, 171 with Orlando, 154 with Philadelphia and 79 with the Bucks.

Next up on the list: No. 5 Pat Riley (1,210 wins) and No. 4 Jerry Sloan (1,221 wins).
