Overnight fire levels Cluckers restaurant in Jeffersonville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Cluckers restaurant in Jeffersonville was destroyed overnight from a fire.

According to Jeffersonville Fire Department Deputy Chief Mike McCutcheon, the first call came in just before 1:30 a.m. The initial call was for a trash fire, but when firefighters arrived it was upgraded to a structure fire.

The fire caused the building to collapse and firefighters are still working to try and contain the blaze.

McCutcheon said the wind has affected operations.

No one was hurt and no other surrounding buildings were affected.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
