Mrs. Patricia Elledge Brooks, age 82, of Wilkesboro passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Lewis Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Dwayne Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the service at Lewis Fork Baptist Church.
Patricia was born June 29, 1943, in Wilkes County to Sherlie and Juanita Hamby Elledge.
Patti was beloved as “Maw Maw” to many- her children, grandkids, and great grandkids, and to many family friends. She created a home that made friends and family feel welcome, taught life lessons to the many children who looked up to her—in her family, community, and school system— and fostered a legacy of togetherness, laughter, and love.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Roy Arnold Brooks, a son-in-law; Ray “Buzz” Norman, Jr., a sister; Debbie Elledge, a brother-in-law; Dickie Welborn and a sister-in-law; Ann Elledge.
She is survived by a daughter; Robin Brooks Norman of State Road, two sons; Randy Arnold Brooks (Chantel) and Richard Eric “Ricky” Brooks (Julie), all of Wilkesboro, twelve grandchildren; Jonathan Norman (Kayla) of Dobson, Nick Norman of State Road, Addie Hendricks (Brandon) of Mocksville, Lillie Kendrick (Camden) of Dobson, Noah Norman of State Road, Lucas Brooks (Victoria) of Wilkesboro, Faith Brooks of Wilkesboro, Noel Henderson (Dylan) of Cornelius, Jonah Brooks of Wilkesboro, Taylor Brooks (Amanda) of North Wilkesboro, Bethany Brooks of Wilkesboro, Skylar Brooks of Wilkesboro, ten great-grandchildren; Brandon Norman, Brodie Norman, Mamie Norman, Waylen Hendricks, Nash Hendricks, Clover Henderson, Annie Henderson, Charlotte Brooks, Matthew Bell, Callie Brooks, a sister; Gail Welborn of Purlear and two brothers; Larry Elledge of Ferguson and Barry Elledge and wife Susan of Darby.
