Panthers add a tight end to practice squad

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added another tight end Tuesday, after the season-ending injury to Ja’Tavion Sanders on Sunday.
The team signed former 49ers tight end Ross Dwelley to the practice squad.
The 30-year-old Dwelley has been in the league since 2018, most of that time with San Francisco, where he began as an undrafted rookie from the University of San Diego. He’s also had stints with the Falcons and Lions. He was released by the Lions earlier this month.
