Hard to see how LSU has learned a lesson from the Brian Kelly fiasco. We guaranteed 80% of this new contract — even more than for Kelly. There is no offset for salary earned at his new school. Kelly is required to look and has an offset.
We are paying whatever bonus he would have gotten from the school he left days away from a berth in the CFP. And, like the mistress who convinces the cheater to leave, we will be shocked when he does that to us for whatever suitor comes along in the future.
Hopefully, we can get into the playoffs and maybe win a championship before the inevitable ugly divorce.
