Canucks’ DeBrusk, Kampf back in lineup against Flyers

One day after sitting out against the Seattle Kraken as a healthy scratch, Jake DeBrusk will rejoin the Vancouver Canucks’ lineup against the Philadelphia Flyers.
DeBrusk and David Kämpf will both play for the Canucks on Tuesday, replacing Aatu Räty and Nils Höglander, Canucks coach Adam Foote told reporters.
Defenceman Elias Pettersson will sit in favour of Pierre-Olivier Joseph.
Foote described scratching DeBrusk as “a good reset for him,” on Sunday ahead of the game against the Kraken.
The Edmonton native has recorded nine goals and eight assists in 37 games this season, while going minus-nine. Just one of his goals has been scored at even-strength.
“Yeah, it sucks, yeah, it’s embarrassing,” said DeBrusk. “Any time you miss a game, yeah, it’s embarrassing. I’d be wrong if I wasn’t saying I was pissed off right now, but I understand, and I need a jolt. Obviously haven’t been good enough any time you’re in this position. I gotta control what I can do from this point forward and just worry about me.”
DeBrusk is currently in the second season of a seven-year deal with the Canucks that is worth $5.5 million annually.
Kampf signed a one-year, $1.1-million deal with the Canucks one day after his contract was terminated by the Toronto Maple Leafs in November.
The 30-year-old centre has one goal in 17 games with Vancouver and is a minus-four.
