Updates On Rashid Shaheed & Other Seahawks Injuries From Mike Macdonald’s Wednesday Press Conference

Macdonald also gave a little more clarity on the injury to tackle Josh Jones, who played every snap in Sunday’s game, but who was listed as a non-participant on Tuesday’s estimated injury report due to knee and ankle injuries. Jones, who has been starting in place on an injured Charles Cross, is “just banged up a little bit” Macdonald said, and should be able to play Saturday.

“Josh can play, he’s going to play,” Macdonald said. “If Charles gets better and can play, he’ll play. If not, we’ve got some other guys that can play.”

Macdonald said Cross would not practice Wednesday, but did not rule out the possibility of him playing against the 49ers.

“Some things need to happen before he can play,” Macdonald. “I’d say it’s a non-zero chance that he plays, but we’ll see.”

Cross, who has missed two games with a hamstring injury, was one of two players to miss last week’s game along with safety Coby Bryant, who has a knee injury.

Asked if Bryant was improving, Macdonald said, “Coby’s getting better. He’s not going to practice today, he did walkthrough. Again, we’ll see. I know those guys are working like crazy, but we’re going into a football Friday (on Thursday), he’ll probably have to do something before the game goes.”
