Riley Green is ready for 2026, gearing up for his Cowboy As It Gets tour, new music and his debut acting gig. According to the 37-year-old country superstar, his fans may have a new album to look forward to before then, so there will be plenty of music for Green to debut while out on the road.
“We’re going to go into the studio this fall and probably release new music between now and then, and then try to have the whole album out around the time the tour starts,” Green told Billboard in September. He recently confirmed that to his record label, revealing that while fans coming to a tour stop can expect to hear Green’s hits and tracks from his most recent album, 2024’s Don’t Mind If I Do, there will also likely be some new music they’ll have time to learn.
“Next year we’re going on the road, on the Cowboy As It Gets tour,” he said. “We’re going to be playing a lot of the songs that, you know, I’ve played for years that kinda got us here, and then some brand-new songs off the last album, and then also puttin’ out some music, hopefully here pretty soon, that we’ll be playing some brand-new songs.”

The Alabama native told Billboard that he likes to release new music around the time he kicks off his tours, as it’s “so great to be able to play the songs on the road and see what songs raise their hands” as far as the fans sharing their thoughts on which tracks should become singles. That was the case with recent single, “Worst Way,” which gave Green another No. 1 at country radio. “[Fans] will let you know if it’s one they like,” Green explained. “They’ll sing it louder than the others.”
The Cowboy As It Gets Tour begins on April 16 in Southaven, MS and visits a total of 20 arenas and amphitheaters around the country through August 22. That group includes Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, which Green will headline for the first time on April 18. He’ll get support throughout the run from Justin Moore, Drake White, Mackenzie Carpenter, Hannah McFarland, Adam Hood and Zach John King, three of whom will perform during each show.
Music won’t be the only thing on Green’s mind next year, as he revealed to Country Now that he’ll be making his acting debut in 2026, though he wasn’t able to say where or when that might be. “’ll just guess I’m allowed to say that I have done some acting, and it’s a show, and it’s going to be airing sometime fairly soon,” the chart-topping hitmaker shared.
Fans may be able to start their guesses based on the fact that Green “knew some of the other people in the show and on set,” which he said “helped a lot” when it came to his nerves.
“Everybody was really great to work with, and it’s not always like that from what little bit of film stuff I’ve done, which is music videos and commercials and things like that,” he reflected. “It really helps a lot when you feel comfortable there. And I did as soon as I got on set, and I think a little bit, it just happened so fast that I didn’t really have time to get nervous, and so I was just kind of, the scene was done, and I was like, ‘okay, well I guess it was all right.’ They didn’t yell at me or yell ‘cut’ or anything, but it was a lot of fun.”
