The Punt Acca: Harry Wilson with three fancies from Cheltenham, Musselburgh and Newcastle on New Year’s Day

The Kalooki Kid (2.15 Musselburgh)
The Kalooki Kid progressed nicely over fences last season, chasing home subsequent dual winner Doyen Du Bar before landing back-to-back races at Doncaster and Musselburgh. He looks open to more improvement and is expected to come forward from his reappearance in a strong Listed race last time.
Ace Of Spades (3.10 Cheltenham)
Ace Of Spades reappeared with a good victory at Aintree, form that has been franked by the third, and shaped well when upped to this trip at Haydock, staying on well in a race that was dominated by those who raced prominently. This track should suit him better and he looks progressive.
Callianassa (4.05 Newcastle)
Callianassa enhanced her good course-and-distance record when third on her return from 121 days off here 12 days ago, taking her form figures over a mile at Newcastle to 224113. That race was won by the frontrunner who was allowed to dictate at a leisurely pace, which wouldn’t have suited, but she still managed to get alongside before fading late on as though the run was needed. She looks a big player off an unchanged mark in this weaker contest from a good draw in stall ten.
