Firefighters extinguish 2-alarm house fire on New Year’s Eve

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Honolulu Fire Department has extinguished a 2-alarm house fire in Ewa Beach Wednesday.
The fire broke out at around 7 p.m. on Maipuhi Street.
Crews arrived shortly after and began battling the blaze.
Video of the scene shows smoke pouring out of a garage as firefighters battled the blaze.
HFD said the fire was extinguished just after 7:30 p.m.
Emergency Medical Services co-responded, but no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and a damage estimate is pending.
