Alabama vs Indiana injury report: Which players will miss Rose Bowl?

CFP quarterfinal preview Alabama vs Indiana

Alabama faces top-seed Indiana in a CFP quarterfinal matchup. Does Alabama have what it takes to upset No. 1 Indiana?

No. 9 Alabama football (11-3) will be much healthier when it faces No. 1 Indiana (13-0) in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals on Thursday, Jan. 1.

The Crimson Tide were without numerous contributors in their 28-7 SEC Championship game loss to Georgia and returned a few players in their 34-24 comeback win over Oklahoma in the first round of the CFP. It appears even more reinforcements are on the way, including standout defensive lineman LT Overton.

Conversely, Indiana will be without a pair of key defensive linemen against Alabama. Stephen Daley suffered a season-ending injury while celebrating after the Hoosiers’ Big Ten Conference Championship game win over Ohio State. Kellen Wyatt has missed most of the season after suffering a knee injury against Michigan State earlier in the year.

Good news for the Hoosiers, however, is that are on track to get Omar Cooper Jr. after he was injured in the Big Ten Championship vs. Ohio State.

A win at the Rose Bowl will launch either team into the CFP Peach Bowl semifinal, with the winner facing either No. 5 Oregon or No. 4 Texas Tech for a spot in the national championship. Here’s a look at the official injury report ahead of Alabama vs. Indiana at the Rose Bowl.
