No. 2 Texas at Missouri preview

Texas begins year two in the SEC after capturing a SEC regular season championship while going 15-1 in their first season in the conference. The Longhorns hold 24-2 record against the Tigers and look to continue their winning streak as they tip off SEC play.
Missouri is fourth in the SEC and 14th in the NCAA from beyond the arc at 38.3 percent, as well as seventh shooting in the field, and lead the SEC in efficiency at the free-throw line at 80.7 percent. Senior forward Jordana Reisma shoots 53 percent from the field while averaging 6.8 rebounds per game. Junior guard Grace Slaughter currently ranks fifth in the SEC and 32nd in the nation with 18.9 points per game. Guard Shannon Dowell ranks 14th in the SEC at 16.4 points per game this 2025 season. Junior guard Lisa Thompson hits .875 from the free throw line with 30 assists. Off the bench, sophomore guard Chloe Sotell hits 45.6 percent from the three-point line with redshirt senior Jayla Smith averaging .533 from the field while hitting .457 from beyond the arc with 24 steals and 15 blocks.
The high-octane No. 2 Texas Longhorns enter SEC play led by junior forward Madison Booker, who averages 18.8 points per game with 12 double-doubles. This season, Booker also became the the fifth Longhorn to record a triple-double. Booker averages 7.3 rebounds per game with 39 steals, and hitting 53.1 percent from the field.
Guard Rori Harmon is the Longhorns all-time career assist leader with 846 career assists with 115 on the 2025 season has 115 assists. Harmon leads the country in assist-to-turnover ratio while the Longhorns have outscored their opponents 228-36 off turnovers over the last seven games.
On the other end, Texas takes care of the ball as they lead the country in fewest turnovers, committing 9.7 per game. Sophomore guard Jordan Lee cleans up at the free throw line hitting .719 percent while handing out 43 assists and nabbing 26 steals. Junior forward Breya Cunningham stands strong shooting 60.6 percent from the field with 16 blocks and 88 rebounds. Senior center Kyla Oldacre holds the paint down for Texas, hitting 67.3 percent from the field while snagging 93 rebounds and reeling in 6.2 rebounds per game. The Longhorns have deep bench that gives support averaging 31.5 bench points per game that include seniors Teya Sidberry and Sarah Graves, sophomore Justice Carlton, and true freshman Grace Prenter.
