Sixers vs. Mavericks: Final playing status for big man Joel Embiid

The Philadelphia 76ers will open the new year in Dallas to take on the Mavericks on Thursday as they continue with the fourth of their 5-game road trip. The Sixers are currently 1-2 on the road trip and will look to even everything up before the finale in New York on Saturday.

Joel Embiid was listed as probable for this contest due to a right ankle sprain and a right knee injury management. He will play against the Mavericks and be joined in the starting lineup by Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Paul George, and Dominick Barlow.

This will be the sixth game the Sixers will have the Big 3 all play. After Tuesday’s win over the Memphis Grizzlies, the Sixers are 1-4 with that trio on the floor and will look to keep things moving in the right direction against the Mavs.

Tip off from the American Airlines Center is set for 8:30 p.m. EST.
