Ravens Reach Contract Extension With John Jenkins

Veteran defensive lineman John Jenkins has been a great fit in his first year in Baltimore. Now it will be a prolonged partnership.
The Ravens reached a one-year contract extension with Jenkins two days before they play the Steelers for the AFC North title in Pittsburgh.
The extension is worth around $2 million, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. It’s the first time in Jenkins’ 13-year career that he has signed an extension, he said Friday.
“Here, I’m just doing my job and trying to be the best that I can,” Jenkins said. “But it takes two to tango in regards of, ‘Hey, I want you to stay here, and I love the way how you present yourself, and you [bring] good value to our organization.’ I appreciate that, and I’m very grateful for that.”
