But in a bid to keep it under wraps, guests were invited under the guise of his delayed 51st birthday party.
Those who attended the bash abroad were shocked to discover that the couple were in fact marrying.
The wedding location remains undisclosed but Anderson broke the news to the world by sharing two snaps of him and his blushing bride in her dress.
Rachel remains a huge part of Anderson’s career – always supporting the 55-year-old in his matches.

The couple shares two children together, Tai, 11, and Cheylea, 8 and live Burnham on Sea, Somerset.
Away from darts, Anderson owns a fishery boasting four large lakes stocked with carp and other prize catches.
Anderson – who won back to back World titles in 2015 and 2016 – bids to become the oldest World Champ of all time.
He has already seen off Jermaine Wattimena and long-standing rival Michael van Gerwen on the road to the final four.

Reigning champ Luke Littler, who faces No. 20 seed Ryan Searle in the other semi-final, while Anderson has moved up to sixth spot in the world rankings.
He is a contender to play in the 2026 Prem, which starts in Newcastle on February 5, and is staged in eight different countries.
If Anderson makes the world final, he would be guaranteed a top-four berth and become overnight an automatic pick for the 17-week event.
There is a chance he becomes the £1million winner and then puts down his darts and fishes for a year.
There is a real prospect he may turn down lots of top events because he does not like living out of a suitcase.
Anderson said: “Look, I cannot travel a lot. Honestly. We have had this talk before. I cannot do that and do the ProTours.
“We have seen Peter Wright. I remember he did every Premier League, every European Tour, every ProTour, every TV tournament for years.
“No. I can’t do it, nah. But if you are talking about the Premier League, I might think about that!”
