Report: Pete Carroll likely out as Raiders head coach

Sunday the Raiders will take the field for the final time in 2026. And from the sounds of it, it will also be the final time with Pete Carroll as head coach.
Ian Rapoport came out and said what most people have been speculating for weeks — Pete Carroll is likely out as Raiders head coach.
“Our understanding is that Pete Carroll is likely to be one-and-done, with regime change coming for the Las Vegas Raiders,” Rapoport said in a video posted to Bluesky on Saturday.
Rapoport notes what we have been saying which is that with the likelihood the Raiders select a quarterback atop of the draft in April, the front office will want a new coach to accompany him. Not to mention, having a top prospect to mold would make the Las Vegas job all the more attractive.
