Impressively, City of Dreams is a complete overhaul of Cyberpunk 2077 by the modding team 2077v2. It uses over 1100 mods to craft this conversion, adding immersive elements and a ton of content. Given that it has over 5 million total downloads, it’s easy to see why it’s considered one of the most definitive works in the community so far.
Even small nuances like heavy breathing while running, the use of stamina while sliding, and less-jarring movement are baked into this modding suite, slowly building a sense of unfamiliarity. Here are just a few of the things the City of Dreams modding pack boasts:

It’s also really easy to install, as you’ll be using Vortex, then extract the file into your Cyberpunk 2077 folder. As someone who grew up on mods, it’s wild how much easier the process is overall. The official page for City of Dreams even has instructions for backing everything up, which is a must if you’re concerned about any issues when modding the game.

If you’ve already exhausted everything that Cyberpunk 2077 has to offer, give City of Dreams a shot. There’s bound to be something inside that 1100+ modding package that you’ll enjoy, and you can turn off elements that don’t suit you.
Given that the next Cyberpunk 2077 follow-up isn’t due out for many years at the very earliest, we may as well enjoy these mods while we can. Before we know it, those years will march on, and folks will be crafting mods for the next iteration.
