Newport v Tranmere postponed amid icy conditions

Newport County’s home League Two match against Tranmere Rovers on Sunday has been postponed due to what has been described as an “unplayable pitch” amid icy conditions in south Wales.
The postponement was announced on Sunday morning following a referee inspection at Rodney Parade.
In a statement, Newport added: “Rearranged fixture details will be shared as soon as confirmed.”
The Exiles are second-from-bottom in League Two, two points adrift of safety, while Tranmere are 17th.
Two of the four games scheduled for Sunday in the Adran Premier are also off, Aberystwyth v Briton Ferry and Swansea v TNS.
Weather warnings for ice and snow have been extended across Wales over the weekend and into Monday.
