The airport issued advice on 4 January after a weather warning was issued for ice and snow across the East Midlands area.
A spokesperson said:
‘Wintry weather is forecast this evening and overnight.
‘Our teams are ready to minimise any disruption it may cause.
‘If you are travelling to the airport over the next few days, please take care and prepare in advance.
Tips for safe travel:
‘Rail and bus services may face delays or cancellations. Plan your journey accordingly.
‘Wintry weather can create icy roads. Check updates from Highways England or local traffic services before you set out.
‘Please check with your airline for up-to-date flight information and take extra care on the roads.’
