Canadian forward Brady Martin is not in the lineup to start the second period of the team’s semifinal clash against Czechia and will not return.
Martin appeared to sustain the injury when checking Czech defenceman Matyas Man in the first period. The Nashville Predators prospect was seen on the bench in pain and did not return to the bench for the start of the second.
Martin is one of Canada’s top scorers at the tournament, having scored four goals and four assists in five games entering tonight’s contest.
The two teams were tied 1-1 after the first period after goals from Tij Iginla and Max Curran.
