Thunder vs. Suns: Live updates, highlights for Sunday’s game

The Oklahoma City Thunder will travel to face the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. This will be the third matchup of the season between the two squads. OKC won the first two, with its latest victory in dominant fashion on Dec. 10.

The Thunder (30-5) have won four in a row. They destroyed the Golden State Warriors in a 131-94 win on Friday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 30 points and seven assists in three quarters. Chet Holmgren had 15 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks.

Meanwhile, the Suns (20-14) enjoyed a 129-102 win over the Sacramento Kings on Friday. Devin Booker led the way with an efficient 33 points and five assists.

A pretty bad third quarter for the Thunder. They couldn’t buy a bucket. And could barely buy a trip to the free-throw line. They’re at a 23-to-11 deficit in attempts. Meanwhile, the Suns got rolling on offense with their outside shooting.

After the Thunder went up by 18 points, the Suns closed the first half on an 11-0 run. Gilgeous-Alexander has been pretty quiet with just seven points and five assists. Pretty bad finish to the half. Feels like that may come to bit OKC later on.

Livers turns it over as he was out of bounds. Caruso gets the cutting layup on the other end from Gilgeous-Alexander. Suns call a timeout as Thunder get their lead back up to double-digit points.

Almost a perfect first quarter. Almost. The Suns went on an 11-0 run to get right back into it. The bench players came in and hit their outside shots. That said, the Thunder played well on both ends of the floor.

Goodwin makes the outside jumper. Thunder call a timeout. So far, everything has gone right for OKC on both ends of the floor.

The Thunder will start Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Cason Wallace, Lu Dort, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren. The Suns will start Devin Booker, Collin Gillespie, Dillon Brooks, Royce O’Neale and Mark Williams.
