Rookie cornerback Maxwell Hairston exited during the fourth quarter Sunday’s game against the Jets due to an ankle injury.
He is doubtful to return, according to the team and was replaced in the lineup by CB Tre’Davious White.
Hairston went into the blue medical tent after being injured but was able to walk to the locker room under his own power.
After the game, Bills head coach Sea McDermott said he did not have an update on Hairston but added that the CB was only on the field due to a lack of substitutes. Buffalo only had Christian Benford, White and Hairston active among their boundary corner group.
“Didn’t have another corner to go to on the active roster,” McDermott explained.
