Shirley Louise Oelerich was born June 14, 1935, in Davenport, Iowa, to Herman and Hilda (Studt) Oelerich. Following graduating from Davenport Central High School, she worked at Davenport Bank and Trust for several years. Shirley married Jack Morrow on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 1960. The couple moved to DeWitt in 1970 with their two young girls. Shirley then worked at Iowa Mutual Insurance Company until retiring in 2000. She also worked for Joanna Lund at Healthy Exchanges for several years. Her love of baking truly took root, inspiring her to begin sharing her talents at farmers markets and vendor shows.

Shirley enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling, with family vacations always close to her heart. She made her grandchildren feel special, loyally attending their sports and school events, or just being at home together, playing board games and cards. She deeply loved her pets. Before his passing, she and Jack enjoyed secluded fishing trips to Canada along with her brother and sister-in-law. One of her greatest Joys was sending birthday and anniversary cards to everyone, a gesture which was greatly appreciated, especially by her nieces and nephews.

Surviving are her daughters, Kelly (Scott) Carlson, and Kristy Morrow, both of DeWitt; grandchildren, Ashley Baxter (Jason Westhoff), Matthew Neberman, Brianna (Chris) Mac Phee, Shelby (Adam) Flaucher, Tyler Carlson; greatgrandchildren, Mason and Tegan Spain, and Kollins Flaucher; and her grandpuppy, Max.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents, a son-in-law, Jim Neberman, and siblings, Mary Ann (Jim) Mente, and Earl (Janet) Oelerich.
