Wales snow and ice weather warnings prompt school closures

The Met Office has a yellow warning in place for much of Wales until 11:00 GMT on Tuesday with up to 10cm (3.9in) of snow due across parts of Pembrokeshire, Camarthenshire and Ceredigion, particularly around the Preseli Mountains.
Gwynfor Coaches, which runs buses in Anglesey, Caernarfon, Llanberis and Snowdonia, said it had suspended some services due to rural roads being “completely unsafe, and drivers unable to come in to work”.
In a Facebook post, external, North Wales Police said there were “issues in relation to the current weather conditions” affecting the A55 west of Abergwyngregyn, Gwynedd, to Anglesey, as well as the Felinheli bypass.
“Please avoid travelling unless absolutely essential,” it added.
Traffic Wales, external has reported several roads across the country affected by the weather conditions.
Newport County said its Sunday League Two fixture against Tranmere Rovers at Rodney Parade has been postponed due to an unplayable pitch.
