Callum Wilson is in talks to leave West Ham United just five months after signing for the London Stadium club.
The 33-year-old only joined West Ham on a free transfer last August under former head coach Graham Potter, after leaving Newcastle United. Wilson signed a one-year deal with West Ham, a contract that was heavily incentive-based.
The former England international has scored four goals in 18 games this season, with his most recent goal coming in the 2-2 draw against his former club Bournemouth on November 22. Wilson previously spent five years at Newcastle, who opted against triggering an extension last summer.
Wilson’s uncertain future comes as West Ham make additions to their forward ranks, having completed the signings of strikers Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente, a deal worth €20million (£17.4m; $23.4m), and Taty Castellanos from Lazio.
Wilson could be the third forward to leave West Ham this month.
AC Milan have signed Niclas Fullkrug on loan for the remainder of the season. The 32-year-old joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in a £27m ($36.1m) move and signed a four-year deal in August 2024.
West Ham confirmed on Sunday that winger Luis Guilherme had departed, with the 19-year-old, who joined the club for £25.5m ($34.3m) in the summer of 2024, joining Portuguese side Sporting CP on a permanent deal. Guillherme made only 18 appearances for West Ham.
Despite pressure growing on head coach Nuno Espirito Santo after his side gave Wolverhampton Wanderers their first win of the season on Saturday, The Athletic reported on Sunday that West Ham have no immediate desire to sack the 51-year-old and plan on backing him in the transfer window this month.
West Ham are 18th following that defeat and face 17th-placed Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium on Tuesday.
